My first guest is award winning educator, author and leader, Eric Sheninger. Eric is the founder and CEO of Aspire Change EDU, a collaborative consultancy designed to provide personalized support to all educational systems. Prior to this, he was a teacher and Principal at New Milford High School! Under his leadership, New Milford became a globally recognized model for innovative practices. Through his work with thousands of schools, Eric has emerged as an innovative leader, best-selling author, and sought-after speaker. His main focus is using research and evidence-based practices to empower learners and educators.
My guest today is Tom Vander Ark, an advocate for innovations in learning. As the CEO of Getting Smart, Tom advises schools, districts, networks, foundations, and learning organizations on the path forward. Also a prolific writer and speaker, Tom has authored (and co-authored) countless books including: "Getting Smart," and "Difference Making at the Heart of Learning." Previously, Tom served as the first Executive Director of Education for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and as a public school superintendent in Washington State! He brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors. Tom currently serves on the boards of several education organizations and is an advisor for Accreditation AI in Learning, numerous schools and startups.
My guest today is Carl Hooker, a veteran educator with over 25 years of experience in various roles, from 1st grade teacher to Director of Innovation & Digital Learning. He has written numerous books, including his latest, "Learning Evolution: The New Era of AI in the Classroom," which explores the impact of artificial intelligence on education. Carl is also the host of two podcasts, "Learning Unleashed" and "UnDisrupted," and serves as an advisor for multiple EdTech companies. With his unique blend of educational background and technical expertise, Carl is a driving force for change in education.
Our guest today is Marc Prensky, a world-renowned thought leader, visionary, and generator of new ideas in education. Marc is known for coining the terms "digital native" and "digital immigrant," both now in the Oxford English Dictionary.
